Ronald J. Mion is the founder and CEO of Systems Marketing Associates.
Mr. Mion has more than 25 years experience in high-tech marketing. His extensive background allows him to thoroughly assess a company's marketing efforts and determine how those efforts can be optimized to meet the company's short- and long-term goals. In addition, he has had hands-on experience in virtually all aspects of implementing marketing programs.
Mr. Mion spent ten years with IBM's General Systems Division where he headed up their Construction Industry Marketing group, launched several highly successful hardware and software products, and increased sales from $2M to $51M in three years. He was also the architect of the marketing strategy for the IBM Personal Computer.
Mr. Mion left IBM to co-found National Computer Sales which became one of the nation's first large VAR's. Subsequently, Mr. Mion achieved equally significant results as chief marketing officer for Tandon Computers, MicroAge Computer Stores, TeleSoft AB, Aonix, and MediaDNA.
He has developed and implemented marketing strategies for many high-tech products and services.
Mr. Mion is the author of Turning Seminars into Sales and market studies such as the Microsystems Competitive Review and IDC's Guide series. He has been a popular speaker at industry conferences and has provided industry commentary for network television, radio, and various national publications.
